I knew about Christina Gallagher since December 1994,
when I bought a copy of “Ireland's Eye” in a supermarket in
Cork. I had come home hurriedly as my father was critically ill
in Christmas week, 1994. I had brought no books, toothbrush
or toothpaste and went to the supermarket to get some
necessities. In the Irelands Eye article I read the “Seven Steps
of Perfection” and was impressed. My next acquaintance with it was through my sister, who told me about the Seal in October 1999. I found my spiritual experience at the House of Prayer very enriching and Christina's experiences and messages so full of tracings to the Bible and in harmony with previous spiritual masters. It was clear God had blessed Christina in a marvellous way, and with her the Irish Church. My prayer life grew in depth as a result. It was essential to pray. Scripture seemed more luminous and biblical references to today, enlightening. Maybe I go some small way to contemplation, always realising my need for the Holy Spirit, my hopelessness and great need. More than ever, I realise it is a gift of God. Fr McGinnity's talks are helpful and powerful in the Holy Trinity Novena.
