many challenges in life. He attended a special school for dyslexia and had to attend an occupational therapist and speech therapist for a severe speech impediment. In February 1996, at the age of 18, Jed presented to his doctor, Dr Sargur M.D. a consultant haematologist, with tenderness and swelling of his right lower leg with deep discoloration and was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis, which was described as a life threatening condition for such a young man.

On evaluation of his blood he was found to have a rare clotting disorder i.e. thrombophillia or activated protein C resistance which is an inherited disorder. This caused very marked swelling, discoloration of the skin and marked impediment of mobility, added to that the very real risk of clots breaking away and travelling to the lung fields causing fatal respiratory and cardiac arrest.

Because of the extensive nature of Jed's thrombosis he was put on preventative drug and anti-clotting medication in order to allay and prevent any fatal consequence of the disorder. From the time of his diagnosis to meeting Mrs Christina Gallagher three years later, Jed had persistent pain, swelling and discoloration and weakness of his right lower limb.

On September 12th 1999, in the Marriott Hotel in New York, Jed met Christina Gallagher for the first time, who prayed with him there. Jed has stated that shortly afterwards all the pain had gone from his leg, but he was reluctant to say this to anybody. At this time his family had decided to fly to Ireland and visit the House of Prayer on Saturday, the 18th September 1999. Jed once again met with Christina Gallagher who prayed with him. She then told him "After this, you will have no pain again" and he then informed his mother and father that since his meeting with Christina in New York, that he had been pain free.

Later back in the hotel his mother who had noticed the extraordinary change and improvement in his general demeanour, self-confidence and speech, as there was no sign of the stammering or speech impediment, had also noticed that his right leg, which had been constantly covered by a compression stocking for the previous three years, now seemed to have reduced in size. As he was pain free she pulled the compression stocking from his leg and could see to her amazement that the previous discoloured, swollen and purple leg was now normal in size, flesh pink and flesh tone in colour, with normal sensation on touch.

On his return to the USA, Jed was reviewed by his consultant haematologist, Dr Sargur M.D., on 12th October 1999. Dr Sargur reported to his remarkable recovery, stating twice that he regarding this as "a miracle". Said Dr Mukund N. Sargur; "The patient is a 21 years old, white, male, with history of deep vein thrombosis, involving his right leg. Diagnosed in February 1996, now with no evidence of deep vein thrombosis and complete resolution of pain (which is a miracle).

"The patient originally presented with tenderness and swelling of his right lower extremity and was found to have deep vein thrombosis. On evaluation of his blood, he was found to have activated protein C resistance, which is an inherited clotting disorder with a high incidence of deep vein thrombosis especially while being sedentary and/or complicated by trauma or surgery. Because of the extensive nature of the thrombosis, the patient had to be place on Coumadin, which he was taking rigorously for almost three years."

"He now presents with no evidence of deep vein thrombosis on repeat ultrasound Doppler study that was done in Dr. Oh's office. He had been having constant pain and swelling over several years, which also has resolved. Ultrasound Doppler study done on 5th Oct 1999 showed that the femoral, popliteal and external iliac veins all compressed completely with no evidence of deep vein thrombosis."

"Due to his remarkable recovery from his original extensive deep vein thrombosis, Jed no longer needs any medication. I would consider this a miracle" the doctor concludes.

In 2000, the case of Jed Michael, along with three others were selected from the hundreds of testimonies of healings at the House of Prayer, to be examined thoroughly. All the medical documentation for these cases was compiled by medical experts and presented to the Church. The word "miracle" has already been used of each of these cases by consultants and Church personnel.
